Web Portfolio

Here is a list of links to sites I have designed. Many of them were done on a volunteer basis.

	Town of Foxboro - I contacted the administrator for Foxboro's site and for a shore period of time, I put together a demo site. Unfortunately they lost interest and only the top image made it onto the site. The link to the left is a snap shot of my demo site. (Its a shame it will not be used) Below are some of the goals I was attempting to accomplish: New graphics and site layout. Easy to follow site hierarchy to reduce the number of clicks users must make to find information. Common theme between websites for town services such as the Police, Fire, and Water departments. Easy to use interface for updating news and press releases.
	Bird Middle School - Another volunteer project. I designed a complete site for BMS but the network admistrators were afraid to install PHP and MySQL on their Linux machine so they gave me a new machine. After I installed Redhat Linux, configured Apache, and installed PHP/MySQL I delivered it to them. However, they could not figure out how to configure the firewall at the school. Eventually one of the teachers took some of my ideas and made a static site. Here's what I did for them: New graphics and site layout. A web interface to update the monthly newsletter and teacher interviews. MySQL was used to store the data. A search engine to find old articles. Class pages to display student's work which can be updated by teachers. An easy to follow hierarchy of informational pages.
	Envirotest Laboratories - Full website creation from scratch including: Content derived from brochures and pamphlets. Graphics based on company logo. Backend administration page to update news, projects, and links. Maintenance and the addition of new pages.
